ITM-580: Data Management

The course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices involved in the management of data as a strategic asset. The course covers topics such as data architecture, storage, retrieval, governance, and security, focusing on structured and unstructured data. Students will learn how to design and implement effective data management strategies, ensure data quality, and support decision-making through data-driven insights. The course also addresses key topics like data privacy, compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and managing big data and cloud-based data systems. Prerequisites: ITM 520 or Approval of the instructor.
