This course provides an introduction to the principles, techniques, and applications of biotechnology. Students will gain an understanding of the fundamental concepts in biotechnology and how they are applied in various fields, including medicine, agriculture, environmental science, emerging technologies, innovations and new products in the biotechnology industry. Bioethical issues relating to this new technology will also be discussed. Three hours of lecture per week. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in BIO 320.
