In this course, students will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on culminating experience that will allow them to gain valuable experience in the data science field. Students may either work with the instructor of the course to identify, develop, and carry out a data science project within the scope of the university or a community partner, or identify and complete an internship in the field of data science. In addition to completion of the project or working at the internship site, students will participate in regular meetings with the supervising instructor to enhance the experiential knowledge gained. Prerequisites: DAT 310, Senior standing, and Permission/Consent of Advisor.
