A study of the taxonomy, morphology, physiology, development, ecological roles and human uses for Kingdom Fungi and related groups. The accompanying laboratory activities will include investigations of evolution, phylogeny, morphology, and classification of regional fungi and related groups. A special emphasis will be placed on the diversity of our Appalachian fungi. Prerequisite: Grades of "C" or better in BIO 154 and BIO 156.
