Students will first learn about the history of sequential art and the critical study of comic books and graphic novels. Students will then be taught digital workflows for creating their own comics and distributing them online. Using this knowledge, students will develop their own idea for a comic that addresses a real-world problem and produce the first issue over the semester. Prerequisites: ENG 112 or WRI 118 and Sophomore standing. This course fulfills the Engaging Our World requirement in the General Education Curriculum.
