A study of the morphology, physiology, genetics, and taxonomy of bacteria and other microorganisms, and their beneficial and harmful relationships to plants and animals. Laboratory methods of cultivation, examination, and identification of bacteria will be stressed. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory work each week. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in BIO 154/156.
