The consideration of women in art from the Renaissance through modern times. The course will consider women both in terms of women as artists as well as women as subject. By looking at the work of selected artists, the class will consider whether there is a feminine point of view, what roadblocks the women had to overcome, and the role of gender some women have committed to in their work. Prerequisite: ENG 112 or WRI 118. This course fulfills the Engaging Our World requirement in the General Education Curriculum.
