This course is designed to encourage an appreciation and facilitate the creation of images using digital photography. The main focus of the course will be the hands-on creation of digital photographic images - as creative experimentation - through the use of digital cameras and digital editing. Students will also see, examine, analyze and discuss different works of photography. The intent of the class is to enhance students' perceptual abilities; encourage insight, creativity, and a greater understanding of photography has art and visual media. This class is designed for students with no previous experience. This course fulfills Personal Place requirement in the General Education Curriculum.
